The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s mobile-outreach center will visit the Youngstown unit of the NAACP from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday to accept complaints of employment discrimination based on race, religion, sex, national origin, age (40 and older), disability or retaliation.
The EEOC considers retaliation the firing of a worker who complained about job discrimination, gave evidence in a job-discrimination matter or filed a charge of job discrimination with the commission.

The local unit of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is located in Suite 721 in the PNC Bank Building at Wick Avenue and Commerce Street in downtown Youngstown.
Neighborhood meeting
YOUNGSTOWN
Representatives from the city prosecutor’s office and the Mahoning Valley Violent Crimes Task Force will speak at the Brownlee Woods Neighborhood Association’s monthly meeting Thursday.
There will be refreshments at 6 p.m. and the business meeting at 6:30 p.m. at Faith Community Church, 1919 E. Midlothian Blvd.
Dana Lantz from the prosecutor’s office, task-force representatives, and Councilman John Swierz, D-7th, will address neighborhood issues.
Artist to speak

Gary Taneri, whose work is on display at the Trumbull Art Gallery, will talk about his art and process at 2 p.m. today at the downtown gallery, 196 E. Market St. The public is invited.
Theft investigated
HUBBARD
City police are investigating the theft of contaminated ink and other equipment from a local tattoo parlor.
Police said the break-in occurred between 9:40 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday at a Hubbard tattoo parlor that police would not identify. Officers are reminding the public to use established, reputable tattoo parlors to avoid coming into contact with the tainted ink, which could cause an allergic reaction. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call Hubbard police at 330-534-1133.
VA seminar set
NEW CASTLE, Pa.
“How Do I Know If I Am Entitled to VA Benefits?” will be the subject of the monthly benefits seminar sponsored by the Lawrence County VA Office.
Director Shirley Noga said the public seminar will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Lawrence County Government Center, 430 Court St.
The seminar will explain VA pensions, compensation, aid and attendance, where to obtain a copy of DD214 papers, ID cards, burial benefits and emergency assistance.
