HEALTH

Audiologist Kate Bayer has joined the Jameson Rehabilitation Center of Neshannock. She will perform audiological assessments and treatment and aural rehab for patients of all ages, from babies on up. Bayer is a graduate of West Virginia University with a bachelor’s degree in speech pathology/audiology and is a graduate of Ohio University with a master’s degree in audiology. She has been a licensed audiologist since 2004 and certified by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association since 2005.

Akron Children’s Hospital Pediatrics recently welcomed Dr. Stacy Generalovich to its pediatric primary-care office on the Beeghly Campus in Boardman. Dr. Generalovich received her medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia and completed a pediatric residency at Mercy Children’s Medical Center in Pittsburgh. Her professional affiliations include Fellow American Academy of Pediatrics and Fellow American College of Osteopathic Pediatricians.

Shepherd of the Valley Home Health Director Kris Siciliano, RN, was recently named Employee of the Quarter for Shepherd of the Valley-Corporate Office/Home Health Care Services in Austintown. “Kris brought a wealth of knowledge with her when she joined the staff two years ago. In that time, she has increased the Home Health census and productivity greatly,” said Victoria Brown, associate director and CFO. Siciliano joined the Shepherd of the Valley Home Health staff in February 2010.

Dr. Amy Maneker recently was named chief medical information officer for Akron Children’s Hospital. She will support the development of Akron Children’s clinical information systems and assist clinicians in the delivery of patient care. Dr. Maneker comes from Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital/University Hospitals Health System in Cleveland. Dr. Maneker has degrees in biochemistry and medicine from the University of Pennsylvania. In addition, she has taken post-graduate studies in the Physician Executive Institute at the CWRU Weatherhead School of Management and is enrolled in a certificate program in clinical informatics at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.

CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

Don Picciano Jr. was recently named president of the Sebring Area Chamber of Commerce. Picciano previously served as vice president. He is the director of marketing and public relations at Copeland Oaks and Crandall Medical Center in Sebring.

In related news, Gayle Agnew accepted the position of vice president. Agnew is a photographer/reporter at The Alliance Review. Outgoing President Doug Burchard, Sebring village manager, resigned from the board due to other obligations. Sebring Water Department administrative assistant Jennifer Rieger took Burchard’s place on the board. Nancy Whinnery of West Branch Schools agreed to continue as secretary and Todd Sage of Huntington Bank will remain as treasurer. Additional board members are Frank Minear, The Alliance Review, Jim Williams of Williams-Case Insurance Agency and Mark Calderone of Calderone’s Diamond Beverage Express.

REAL ESTATE

Klacik Real Estate announced that Debbie Mook has recently joined the company. Mook earned her real-estate license in 1998. Klacik Real Estate provides residential and commercial sales in the tri-county area.

LAW

The partnership of Davis & Young recently announced that Thomas W. Wright has been elected managing partner and president of the firm. Wright, a firm member since 1984, has worked in litigating wrongful death, products liability, intentional tort and UM/UIM cases. He received his bachelor’s degree in political science from Ohio State University and his law degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law.

The firm also announced that David J. Fagnilli has been promoted to chief financial officer Fagnilli, a firm member since 1986, has worked in litigating insurance coverage, products liability, business disputes, construction claims and other complex arbitrations. He received his bachelor’s degree from Southern California College and his law degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.

Shannon M. Fogarty recently was promoted to firm partner. Fogarty joined the firm as a law clerk in 2002, a position she maintained until graduation from Case Western Reserve University in 2004. Fogarty also has a degree from Bowling Green State University.

The firm also announced that Nicole R. Ford has been named associate attorney. Ford joined the firm in 2009 as law clerk. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Akron School of Law; she previously received her bachelor’s degree in journalism from Duquesne University and her master’s degree in taxation from the University of Akron.
