The Ohio Parole Board has denied parole to David Lockney, a former Lordstown man serving four life sentences for repeatedly raping his daughter when she was 6 and 7 years old in 1986 and 1987.

He will be eligible for another parole hearing in November 2015.

Lockney, 56, has served 24 years of a prison sentence of 10 years to life. He pleaded guilty to four counts of rape, each carrying a possible life prison sentence, and one count of attempted rape. He admitted to the offenses.

Bazetta arrests up

BAZETTA

The Bazetta Township Police Department made 35 percent more arrests, 423, in 2011 than in 2010, 313, and wrote 74 percent more traffic citations.

Those statistics and others were released on Friday by the department.

The department said its number of calls for service increased by 14 percent, its number of incident reports increased by 13 percent and the number of miles traveled by officers increased 16 percent.
