W. Pa. man who admitted molesting 8-year-old girl is sentenced

ERIE, Pa. (AP) — A judge sentenced a western Pennsylvania man to 15 to 30 years in prison for molesting an 8-year-old girl in 2009 and 2010.

The Erie Times-News reports today that 38-year-old Michael Tadlock says he cooperated with police because he needs help.

Judge Shad Connelly says that doesn’t lessen the consequences of Tadlock’s behavior.

Tadlock admitted himself to a mental-health unit in 2010 and told workers he had molested a child, possessed child pornography and was having suicidal and homicidal thoughts.

Tadlock then agreed to speak with state police.
