Ursuline Center book club accepts members

The Ursuline Center Book Club has selected its next three book selections and meetings.

The group meets in the meeting room of Prato Hall at The Ursuline Center, 4280 Shields Road. New members are welcome.

On Jan. 24 at 6:30 p.m., the club will discuss “Unbroken” by Laura Hillenbrand. From the author of the much-celebrated “Seabiscuit” comes the survival story of a young World War II officer shot down in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, rife with shark infestation.

On March 6 at 6:30 p.m., the club will discuss “There’s No Place Like Here” by Cecelia Ahern. Ahern brings us the fantasy/mystery story of Sandy Shortt, a woman who specializes in finding missing people.

When Shortt herself goes missing, she finds herself in the place where all people disappear to. The next thing Shortt must find is the secret to getting back home.

All bookworms are invited to join in the discussions. The books chosen by the Ursuline Center Book Club are available through the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County.

Pre-registration is appreciated, by not necessary. For more information, call Eileen Novotny, Ursuline associate, at 330-533-3831 or the Ursuline Center at 330-799-4941.
