Man sought in Pa. teen's slaying

DUQUESNE, Pa. (AP) — Police have been seeking an “armed and dangerous” suspect charged with killing a 16-year-old boy during a family gathering in a Pittsburgh-area apartment.

Allegheny County police say 21-year-old Eric Barlow is one of three gunmen — the other two have yet to be charged — who burst into the Hilltop Parkview Manor Apartments in Duquesne and fatally shot 16-year-old Daniel Peek and wounded three others about 5:30 p.m. Jan. 14.

The district attorney’s office, meanwhile, is reviewing police records and other information to determine whether to get a court order to shut down the apartment complex as a “nuisance” property.

Property manager Rose Moyle says the owners go “above and beyond” with 24-hour security and have added fencing, a Crime Watch program and background checks before letting residents move in.
