YOUNGSTOWN

Discount-grocer Bottom Dollar Food has announced its grand-opening dates for its Youngstown locations.

The three area locations, 890 East Midlothian Blvd., 2649 Glenwood Ave., Unit 1, and 3377 Mahoning Ave., will open at 8 a.m. Feb. 9, the company said Thursday.

The grand-opening festivities will include giveaways of free, private-brand products to the first 200 customers at each location and free reusable bags.

The company has 29 stores in Pennsylvania and New Jersey; the Youngstown locations will be the first in Ohio.

Huntington dividend

Huntington Bancshares Inc. had a net income of $542.6 million, or 59 cents per share, in 2011, up from $312.3 million, or 19 cents per share, in 2010.

In the fourth quarter of 2011, Huntington had a net income of $126.9 million, down $16.5 million from $143.4 million in the prior quarter. The fourth quarter was the first quarter for the Durbin Amendment, which set fee limits for debit-card transactions.

The board of directors also declared a quarterly cash dividend on its common stock of 4 cents per share. The dividend is payable April 2 to shareholders of record March 19.

Leaving First Place

WARREN

First Place Bank’s chief credit officer has announced his resignation.

Christopher G. Tietz will resign effective Jan. 30, according to a Form 8-K filing on the Securities and Exchange Commission website.

Tietz served in his current role since last May.

Company fined

Waynesburg, Pa.

The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration wants a southwestern Pennsylvania drilling company to pay $53,200 in fines for alleged safety violations even though they weren’t linked to a worker’s death.

OSHA said it found 14 “serious” violations, including failing to use property listed and labeled electrical equipment, and two less-serious violations against Target Drilling.

Chesapeake ranking

For the fifth-consecutive year, Fortune Magazine named Chesapeake Energy Corp. to its list of 100 Best Companies to Work For.

The Oklahoma City-based company moved up 14 spots from 2011 and is ranked No. 18.

Chesapeake is the top-ranked natural-gas and oil producer on the list.

Fresh-water delivery

Allentown, Pa.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency says it will deliver fresh water to four homes in a northeastern Pennsylvania village where residential water wells were tainted by a gas driller.

More than a dozen homeowners in Dimock have been without a reliable supply of clean water since Cabot Oil & Gas Corp., the Houston-based drilling firm blamed for polluting their aquifer, stopped making daily deliveries Nov. 30.
