Program seeks to honor seniors

The Salute to Senior Service program, sponsored by Home Instead Senior Care, recognizes senior volunteers for the contributions they make in their communities, and readers are being asked to help find them.

Friends, co-workers and family members are urged to nominate deserving seniors for possible state and national honors.

Nominations are being accepted through March 15. The program will include a search for the most outstanding senior volunteer in each state and culminate with the selection of a national Salute to Senior Service Winner during older Americans Month in May, when $5,000 will be donated to the national winner’s charity of choice.

Nominees must be 65 or older and volunteer at least 15 hours a month. Nominations will be accepted at www.salutetoseniorservice.com. Forms also can be requested at ckoehler@homeinsteadinc.com.
