Window World honored by St. Jude’s
St. Jude’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., recently honored the owners of Window World for its efforts in raising funds for the hospital.
Earlier this month, Fred Moran, and his wife, Lucy, were on hand to accept two honorary awards for their efforts in raising funds within the Ohio and Pennsylvania markets where they operate.
These two recent awards — donations of $25,000 in Ohio and $5,000 in Pittsburgh — combine with two previous awards received in 2010, totaling four recognition awards in excess of more than $50,000 raised for the hospital.
Fred Moran, along with his son, Pat Moran, own Window World locations in the Youngstown-Warren area, Steubenville, Toledo, Findlay, Cleveland and Pittsburgh.
During the past three years, the Morans made several trips to St. Jude’s in addition to active participation at various fundraising events, including a local walkathon at Southern Park Mall in Boardman.
Fred Moran said Window World customers play a major role in helping the children at St. Jude’s through their generosity of making an optional $1 donation per window installed which is matched locally.
The Window World Cares program matches any donation totals reached by its franchised locations toward nonprofits, charities and foundations.
