Feds charge Girard man with withholding taxes from IRS

CLEVELAND — In a 13-count criminal information, the federal government has charged a Girard man with failing to pay the IRS at least $91,000 in federal taxes withheld from employees of his company between 2006 and 2009.

Patrick M. Rubinic, 47, is charged with willfully failing to report and turn over to the IRS federal income and Social Security taxes withheld from employees of Knight Line Embroidery of Girard and causing that money to be used for other purposes.

Rubinic also failed to report and pay to the IRS the employer’s share of the Social Security taxes, the U.S. Attorney said this week.
