Hearing on quakes Tuesday at YSU

The Ohio House Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee will conduct a public hearing to address recent earthquakes in the Youngstown area Tuesday at Youngstown State University.
The hearing, which will feature testimony from a panel of experts, will begin at 10 a.m. in the Chestnut Room of Kilcawley Center.

MLK event Thursday in Austintown

Habitat for Humanity of Mahoning County will sponsor a dinner to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Austintown Community Church, 242 S. Canfield-Niles Road (state Route 46).
After the fellowship dinner, the hourlong film “Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. — Man of Peace in a Time of War” will be shown. A discussion time follows the film.

Genealogy workshop set in Youngstown

The Youngstown Historical Center Archives/Library 2012 Winter Workshop Series begins Saturday with “Intro to Genealogy at YHC Archives/Library.”
The workshop runs from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Youngs-town Historical Center, 151 W. Wood St., Youngstown.
