SENIOR CITIZENS


55-Plus Club of Liberty will meet at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at First Christian Assembly Church, 3243 Cardinal Drive, Liberty. Kay Herberger will preside. Hostesses are Louise Leone and Rosey Sferra. There will be a 50-50 raffle and card games.

55-Plus Club of Mineral Ridge will meet at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Church, 3504 Main St. After the meeting and card games, members will dine out.

AARP Chapter 4611 will have an executive board meeting at 11 a.m. Wednesday to discuss meetings, speakers and trips. A general meeting will begin at noon. Refreshments will be served. Membership dues for 2012 are due. New members are welcome. Illness or death can be reported to 330-746-0889.

Girard Senior Citizens Club will meet at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Eagles Hall, 26 W. Wilson Ave. January birthdays and wedding anniversaries will be acknowledged, and membership dues for 2012 will be collected. Bingo and cards will follow.

Holy Family Seniors will meet at 11:30 a.m. Monday in Hope Hall at the Holy Family Center. Use the Youth Center entrance. Cards, bingo and a 50-50 raffle are planned. Holy Name Seniors will not meet in January. Their next meeting will be Feb. 26.

Keenagers of Third Baptist Church, 1177 Park Hill Drive, Youngstown, will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church. A speaker will present a program on the birthday of Martin Luther King Jr. Plans will be discussed for the Black History Program to take place at the February meeting. Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club will meet from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. Bridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played, and Don Patchen will give the devotions. Members are reminded to take a sack lunch; coffee and tea will be provided.
