HOUSTON

Nancy Jeanne Roth of Houston became the bride of Lance F. Wilson, also of Houston, Nov. 18, 2011, during an evening wedding presided over by Bill Courtney. Ashton Gardens Chapel was the setting for the ceremony, and the couple received congratulations in the reception hall at the same location.

The bride is the daughter of Lawrence and Sharon Roth of Austintown. Parents of the groom are Clayton Wilson of Melbourne, Australia, and Lorri Wilson of Longmont, Colo.

The bride wore a white strapless gown embellished with metallic embroidery, rhinestones, pearls, crystal beading and sequins.

Sara Boesel was the matron of honor for her sister. She wore a navy dress, as did bridesmaids Kelly Haase, Carla Zalac and Emily Wilson, the groom’s sister. Brooke and Bridget Baker, cousins of the groom, were the flower girls.

Forrest Wilson performed the duties of best man for his brother. Groomsmen were Ryan Holak, Ryan Vincent and David Myers.

Mrs. Wilson graduated summa cum laude from Youngstown State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in education. She is a social studies teacher with the Cypress Fairbanks School District in Houston. She also is a volunteer firefighter with the Cypress Creek Volunteer Fire Department in Houston.

Mr. Wilson studied emergency management at the University of Maryland. He is a fire marshal at the University of Houston and is a lieutenant fireman with the Cypress Creek Volunteer Fire Department.

After a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple are living in Houston.
