Admitted to Pa. Bar

Atty. Daniel P. Craig, son of Dr. John V. and Diane Craig of Canfield, was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in December.

He is a 2004 graduate of Ursuline High School, received his bachelor’s degree cum laude from Ohio State University in 2008, and earned his juris doctorate degree cum laude from Duquesne University School of Law last year.

Craig served as a judicial intern for both Judge Joy Flowers Conti of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and Judge Gene Donofrio of the 7th District Court of Appeals in Youngstown.

While in law school, he argued the case of Mentor v. Hillside Board of Education before the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals as a certified legal intern and served as editor-in-chief of Duquesne Law School’s Juris magazine.

Craig is an associate in Burleson LLP’s Pittsburgh office, where he concentrates his practice in the areas of oil and gas, and title law. He was a research assistant for the firm during his final year of law school.

PROMOTION

New patrol sergeant

Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper Bradley M. Bucey was promoted to the rank of sergeant recently by Col. John Born, patrol superintendent, during a ceremony at the patrol’s academy.

Bucey will remain at the Canfield Post to serve as an assistant post commander.

He began training as a member of the 136th academy class in September 2000. He earned his commission in March 2001 and was assigned to the Defiance Post.

In 2006, he transferred to the Canfield Post, where he was selected as both post and district Trooper of the Year in 2009.

Bucey lives in Leetonia with his wife, Lesley. They have two children, Andrew, 6, and Ava, 3.
