“Community Connection” (7 a.m. Sunday on 21 WFMJ-TV; and 10 a.m. Tuesday on Time Warner Cable community access channel): Aaron McCargo, otherwise known as “Big Daddy” from the Food Network, will join host Madonna Chism Pinkard via satellite to discuss foods for a kidney-friendly diet.

Next, Bonnie Burdman and the Rev. Ernest Ellis of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Planning Committee will discuss the various activities and programs happening during the holiday.

Finally, the Youngstown State University Student Diversity Department annually sponsors the MLK Diversity Breakfast and Awards program. William Blake, director, and students Gary Davenport and Deandre Radcliffe will discuss the awardees and the return of Dr. Gwendolyn Boyd as featured speaker.

Funny Farm moves location of shows

LIBERTY

Tonight’s performance at 9 by comedian Dennis Ross at The Funny Farm Comedy Club will take place at the Quality Inn, 4055 Belmont Ave. The Funny Farm is moving its shows out of its former room in the Metroplex Hotel on Belmont Avenue, said Dave Robich, owner of the club. Beginning Jan. 28, plans call for Friday comedy shows to take place in the banquet room of Los Gallos restaurant , 685 Boardman-Canfield Road, Boardman, with Saturday shows at the Quality Inn.
