Youngstown crews working to repair waterline break

YOUNGSTOWN — City water crews are still working to repair a major waterline break on Midlothian Boulevard between Youngstown-Poland and Sheridan roads.

“It’s a big break,” said Joseph Dunlap, the water department’s superintendent of construction. “We don’t know how long it will be down. We have crews excavating the area.”

The break to the 12-inch line was reported about 7:20 a.m. today. There’s no water for those near the break area, Dunlap said.

Vehicle traffic hasn’t been detoured because of the break, he said.
