Youth talent-show auditions scheduled

YOUNGSTOWN

Auditions will be from noon to 5 p.m. Jan. 21 at the Main Branch of the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County, 305 Wick Ave., for a Youth Talent Show to be March 16.

All types of acts are welcome, but there can be no profanity or references to drugs or sex. Auditioners can bring a CD of music if necessary.

The show is open to young adults age 14 to 21. Bring proof of age. Acts or individuals who are selected for the show will be required to pay a registration fee of $5 for solo artists or duos and $10 for larger groups. The top four winners of the show will receive cash prizes of $300, $200, $100 and $50.

The Youth Talent Show is being sponsored by Leaders for Progress, whose goal is to promote positive behavior mentoring to area youth, with the help of One Step to Life Inc.

Italian dinner-show features Fruzzetti

St. Anthony of Padua Parish will present an Italian dinner-show April 15 at The Georgetown, 5945 South Ave., featuring singer Moreno Fruzzetti. The honored guest will be Robert Rimedio. A buffet dinner will be served. Doors open at 6 p.m.
