Pizza cook-off scheduled, sponsors sought

Tickets are on sale for Potential Development Program’s 2012 Mahoning Valley Pizza Cook-Off, sponsored by BeautiStone. The event will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. March 18 at Mr. Anthony’s Banquet Center, 7440 South Ave.

Tickets are being sold for $12.50 per person or $150 for a reserved table of 10 and can be purchased online at www.mvpizzacookoff.com or by calling Shellie Duchek, development officer for the PDP, at 330-746-7641.

Businesses and organizations interested in being a sponsor or donating to one of the event auctions can contact PDP or download a sponsorship form from the event website or Facebook page.

Premier sponsor of this year’s event is Akron Children’s Hospital. Media sponsors are My Valley Dining and Mix 98.9, and other major sponsors include Home Savings and Loan, Kernan Insurance Company, Cocca’s Pizza and VEC, Inc.

All proceeds from the cook-off will be used to support the Potential Development School of Autism.
