A checklist of local, state and federal institutions and local businesses closed Monday for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Residents of communities not listed should check their governmental office schedules.

City, state, county and federal offices: Closed.

Mail delivery: None.

Schools: Youngstown, Warren, Niles, Salem, Sharon, New Castle and Youngstown Diocese, closed.

Universities: Youngstown State and Kent State Trumbull Campus, closed.

Western Reserve Transit Authority (WRTA): Operating on Saturday schedule.

Public libraries: Youngstown-Mahoning County, Warren-Trumbull, Kinsman Free Public Library, Girard Free Library, Bristol Public Library in Bristolville, McKinley Memorial Library in Niles and Newton Falls Public Library, closed; and Hubbard Public Library, open.

Stock market: Stifel Nicolaus, closed.

Banks: Chase Bank, Charter One, Cortland Banks, Farmers National Bank, First National Bank, Home Federal Savings & Loan in Niles, Home Savings & Loan, Huntington Bank in Austintown, Key Bank, PNC Ohio and PNC Pennsylvania, all closed; and US Bank in Poland, Boardman, Canfield and Warren area, open. First Place Bank in Warren and other locations closed except Austintown, Boardman main, Howland, Liberty, Seville and Struthers, open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Trash collection: Allison Brothers Inc., Allied Waste, Waste Management and Waste-Tech Services, open and regular schedule; and Warren City Environmental Services, closed.
