Knight to perform at Vic fundraiser

The Victorian Players will have its annual fundraiser, “Vaudeville at the Vic,” at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 20 and 21 at the theater, 702 Mahoning Ave. Tickets are $10 ($8 for students and seniors). For reservations, call 330-746-5455.
The event will include music, magic and madcap fun.
Scheduled to perform is professional jazz singer Barbara Knight, who recently was chosen by LA jazz critic Scott Yanow as one of the top 521 jazz singers of all time. She started singing professionally in 1980 with the Harry Hershey Orchestra, spending 13 years as the featured vocalist in the hit show “Stompin’ at the State.” In addition to the Hershey Orchestra, she also has sung with the Nelson Riddle Orchestra and the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra.
Also appearing will be local magician Matt Stevens; Craig and Liz Conrad; the cast of the Spotlight Players’ production of “Next to Normal”; Gerri Jenkins-Sullivan; Rob Joki of Rust Belt Theater Company; Jenna Cintavey, Tom Smith, Chloe Housteau and more.
