Justin Greene’s game high 23 points lead Kent State to its 11th win of the season, 71-67 over Miami (Ohio).
Greene was one of three Flashes in double figures. Randal Holt scored 16 and Carlton Guyton added 10.
Drew McGhee led the Redhawks (4-10, 0-2 MAC) with 16 points.
Akron 56, Bowling Green 55
BOWLING GREEN
Nick Harney made a layup with one second left to lift Akron over Bowling Green.
The Zips (10-6, 2-0 Mid-American Conference) fell behind 55-54 after Cameron Black’s layup with 12 seconds to go. Black, who was fouled on the play, missed the ensuing free throw.
Akron didn’t lead until the final shot as the Falcons (7-8, 1-1) scored 17 points off 14 turnovers.
The Zips shot just 37.5 percent in the first half, and trailed 26-20 at the break. They then went 12 of 24 from the field in the second half, winning their sixth straight in the series. It was the first time in the past three games Akron has turned the ball over more than eight times.
Harney finished with 12 points and Nikola Cvetinovic added 11 for the Zips.
Bowling Green was led by Black and Dee Brown with 10 points each.
Ohio 60, Buffalo 52
ATHENS
D.J. Cooper scored 15 points and Nick Kellogg added 14 as Ohio pulled away from Buffalo.
The Bobcats (13-3, 1-1 MAC) never trailed, jumping out to a 12-0 lead and taking a 31-25 advantage into halftime.
The Bulls (8-5, 1-1) got to 33-30 with 15:07 remaining, then Ohio pulled away with an 11-0 spurt, capped by a Cooper three-point play.
Neither team shot well, with Buffalo (8-5, 1-1) outshooting the Bobcats from the field 38 percent (19 of 50) to 32.2 percent (19 of 59).
Ohio, which came in ranked sixth in the nation in turnover margin, scored 22 points off 23 Bulls turnovers while committing 15 miscues.
Mitchell Watt’s 18 points led Buffalo, whose 52 points were a season low. Bulls leading scorer Javon McCrae (17.3 points per game), scored only eight points.
Central Michigan 60, Eastern Michigan 56
YPSILANTI, Mich.
Derek Jackson scored 15 points and Trey Ziegler added 11 points and 15 rebounds to lead Central Michigan to a 60-56 victory against Eastern Michigan on Wednesday night.
Austin McBroom had 13 points for the Chippewas (7-8, 2-0 MAC).
Jamell Harris had 12 points and Antonio Green 11 for the Eagles (6-10, 1-1), who competed on their home floor for the first time since Nov. 27. Eastern Michigan played seven road contests and two neutral-site games.

LINCOLN, Neb.
Bo Spencer scored 19 points to lead four Nebraska players in double figures, and the Cornhuskers defeated Penn State 70-58 for their first Big Ten victory.
Toney McCray added 13 points and Caleb Walker and Dylan Talley scored 12 apiece for the Huskers (9-7, 1-4).
Tim Frazier scored a career-high 30 points for the Nittany Lions (9-9, 1-4) for his conference-leading eighth 20-point game.
Michigan 66, Northwestern 64
ANN ARBOR, Mich.
Trey Burke scored 19 points — including Michigan’s last eight of overtime — to help the 13th-ranked Wolverines hold off Northwestern.
Tim Hardaway Jr. scored 19 points for Michigan (14-3, 4-1), but it was his foul that put Marcotullio on the line.
John Shurna had 21 points for Northwestern and Drew Crawford added 20.
