Daughters to host dinner to mark Popovnaks’ 50th

AUSTINTOWN

Gene and Jeanne Popovnak of Austintown, who are marking the 50th anniversary of their marriage today, will be honored at a dinner hosted by their daughters.

Mr. Popovnak and the former Jeanne Jones were married Jan. 12, 1962, at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church in Youngstown.

The Popovnak daughters are Peggy (Bill) Mars of Austintown, Eileen (Joe) Narvet of Salem, Annie (Chuck) Lepowsky of Boardman and Jackie Kelso of Youngstown. The family includes five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mrs. Popovnak is retired from Hills Department Store.

Mr. Popovnak, a veteran of the Korean War, is retired from the U.S. Postal Service in Youngstown.
