A summary of recent criminal activity in the city of Canfield and Austintown:

CANFIELD

Dec. 29

Theft: An Apple iPhone was reported stolen from a student at the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center, 7300 N. Palmyra Road.

Dec.30

Criminal trespassing: A 16-year-old male juvenile was arrested on a charge of criminal trespassing at Greasel Park, 78 Winona Ave.

Warrant: Joseph Williams, 25, of 17511 Laurel Ave., Lake Milton, was arrested on a warrant charging a probation violation. He was a passenger in a vehicle stopped for a traffic violation.

AUSTINTOWN

Jan. 2

Warrant: Jason Hynes Jr. was arrested on a warrant charging aggravated burglary, felonious assault, and improper discharge of a firearm.

Breaking and entering: A vacant home was entered, and copper was cut out of it in the 5000 block of New Road.

Theft: There is a suspect in a theft at Carl’s Towing, 6704 Mahoning Ave.

Telecommunications harassment: There is a suspect in telecommunications harassment at a home in the 4000 block of New Road.

Theft: Patrons walked out on a food bill at Buffalo Wild Wings, 6000 Mahoning Ave.

Recovered property: A wooden box with photos and miscellaneous items was recovered at Mike’s Lounge, 5532 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: An employee stole $447.36 in merchandise by ringing up numerous items and processing them at incorrect prices in two separate transactions at Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Fraud: An account was compromised for $59.99 at a home in the 4000 block of Burkey Road.

Theft: Glasses and a garage door opener were taken from an auto in the 100 block of Fair Meadow Drive.

Assault: A suspect is accused of assault at a home in the 1000 block of Eastwind Place.

Burglary: A television and cash were taken from a home in the 30 block of S. Meridian Road.

Theft: A 16-year-old male juvenile is a suspect in theft at Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.

Menacing: Threatening phone calls were made at an apartment in the 1000 block of Compass West.

Jan. 4

Theft: Two Walmart money orders were stolen at the store.

Identity theft: Cable service was opened in the victim’s name at a home in the 2000 block of Vollmer Drive.

Theft: A Walmart gift card was stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.

Warrant: Erica Goeden, 23, of Econo Lodge, 5431 Seventy-Six Drive, No. 102, was arrested on a warrant charging failure to appear on a traffic charge.

Jan. 5

Criminal damaging: A vehicle was damaged at a home in the 5000 block of Willowcrest Drive.

Telecommunications harassment: Unwanted e-mails were reported at a home in the 4000 block of Woodridge Drive.

Menacing by stalking: A male victim reported receiving unwanted voice mails and being followed at an apartment in the 4000 block of Pembrook Road.

Menacing: Threats were made to an ex-husband at a home in the 4000 block of New Road.

Fraud: Unauthorized charges were made to a victim’s account at a home in the 1000 block of Idaho Road.

Theft: Fuel valued at $40.01, cigarettes valued at $5.65 and a can of soda were stolen from the BP gas station, 3107 S. Canfield-Niles Road.

Jan. 6

Aggravated menacing: A female was threatened by an ex-boyfriend’s girlfriend in the 1000 block of Compass West.

Public indecency: Kenneth Juant, 34, of 704 N. Bon Air Ave., Youngstown, was arrested on charges of public indecency, obstructing official business and aggravated menacing in the 4000 block of Mahoning Avenue.

Fraud: Unauthorized charges were made to an account at a home in the 2000 block of Birchwood Drive.

Jan. 7

Theft: A bank card, credit card and driver’s license were stolen from an unlocked auto at a home in the 6000 block of Pineridge Court.

Criminal damaging: A fender and driver’s door handle were damaged on a vehicle at a home in the 2000 block of Woodgate Street.

Theft: A pair of Oakley sunglasses was stolen from an auto at a home in the 2000 block of Woodgate Street.

Missing person: A 58-year-old woman was reported missing and was found in Independence, Ohio, and admitted to ValleyCare Northside Hospital.

Child endangering: A 2-year-old girl was found wandering around outside in the 1000 block of Compass West. She was returned to her mother.

Theft: A vehicle was entered and a GPS and flashlight were stolen at a home in the 1000 block of Woodgate Street.

Burglary: A laptop and flatscreen television were stolen, and a door frame was damaged at a home in the 3000 block of Monaca Avenue.

Domestic violence: A 16-year-old girl was arrested on a domestic violence charge and taken to the county juvenile justice center.

Aggravated menacing: Voice messages were left at an apartment in the 4000 block of Pembrook Road.

Auto theft: A vehicle was taken by a brother and then returned at a home in the 1000 block of Forest Hill Drive.

Jan. 8

Felonious assault: Tyler Chambers, 20, of 348 Shenango Blvd., Farrell, Pa., was issued a summons for obstructing official business at Club Privilege, 1743 S. Raccoon Road. A male victim had been struck in the face with a beer bottle.

Assault: A woman was assaulted by her boyfriend and transported to St. Elizabeth Health Center, Boardman.

Resisting arrest: Alexander Otero, 28, of 40 N. Roanoke Ave., was arrested on charges of resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and criminal trespassing at Denny’s, 4927 Mahoning Ave.

Criminal damaging: A truck was “keyed” and lights and mirrors were broken out on the vehicle in the 4000 block of Kirk Road.

Theft: A radar detector and miscellaneous change were taken from an auto in the 200 block of S. Inglewood Avenue.

Recovered property: A purse and its contents were found at Dollar General, 6000 Mahoning Ave.

Burglary: A television, safe and jewelry were stolen from a home in the 4000 block of South Edgehill Avenue.

Burglary: A Wii, DVD player and jewelry were stolen from a home in the 5000 block of Willowcrest Drive.

Aggravated robbery: Male victims were robbed in their car by suspects in a red 1990s Chevrolet pickup at Taco Bell, 4523 Mahoning Ave.

Warrant: Kenneth Cunningham, 20, of 4273 Cadwallader Sonk Road, Cortland, was arrested on a warrant charging criminal damaging.
