Are we ‘feeling good’ yet?

Are we ‘feeling good’ yet?

Considering that Gov. John Kasich strongly supported Senate Bill 5, I was amused reading the Dec. 20 article stating the governor “felt good” about his accomplishments in his first year of office.

I am curious to know if any of those accomplishments included some of the campaign promises the governor made that helped to get him elected.

I strongly support the working people whose sweat has made our country great. When Ohioans are employed and able to provide for the necessities to live, that’s my idea of a “feeling good” accomplishment for one and all.

Those who choose the political profession should always remember, you could disappoint and fool people once, they’ll be upset but forgiving. Fool people twice, and you’ve shot yourself in the foot. Time to limp quietly away.

As an 81-year-old voter, I have learned that when those we elect to represent us do not honor the promises they make, those who need the most will get the least.

Hopefully, the new year will have Ohioans “feeling good” about a brighter future.
