Representatives from General Motors, Delphi Packard Electric and other area companies have committed to attending a meeting at noon today at Enzo’s Restaurant, 2918 Elm Road NE, to prepare for a Thursday public hearing regarding the permit for Patriot Water Treatment LLC.

The companies will discuss the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency’s “intent to enact onerous regulatory restrictions for our area and how these proposals would negatively impact our Valley’s economy,” said Tom Angelo, director of Warren’s Water Pollution Control Department.

The hearing is set for 6 p.m. Thursday at Harding High School, 860 Elm Road NE.
