Gas prices rise more than 5 cents in NEO

The current average price for a gallon of regular, unleaded gasoline in Northeast Ohio is $3.412, up 5.4 cents per gallon from a week ago, according to AAA East Central, a nonproift association with 80 locate offices in Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, New York and Kentucky.

The average price for regular gas during the week of Jan. 11, 2011, was $3.117.

The national average price for gas today is $3.372.
