A Mahoning Valley Youth Task Force is being organized by ACTION in preparation for a Youth Explosion Summit on April 21. The Alliance for Congregational Transformation Influencing Our Neighborhoods is asking organizations in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties to take three steps to help build leadership: Have up to 10 youths serve on an advisory board, join an adult board or fill a leadership position; attend the youth summit to recruit youth for organizations; meet with youths annually to introduce them to your organization. Park meetings

The Mill Creek Metropolitan Park District will have two public meetings to begin developing a 10-year strategic master plan: 6 p.m. Tuesday at the MetroParks Farm in Canfield and 6 p.m. Wednesday at Fellows Riverside Gardens in Youngstown.
