SENIOR CITIZENS

Austintown AARP Chapter 4339 will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Grace Lutheran Church, 1612 Raccoon Road. Installation of new officers will take place, along with a memorial for members. Membership dues of $5 for 2012 will be collected. Take your local and national AARP membership cards. Guests and new members are welcome. Refreshments will be served. A board meeting will take place at noon.

Canfield AARP Chapter 3104 will meet at 1 p.m. Monday at Canfield Presbyterian Church. Officers for 2012 will be inducted. Blood pressure screenings will be given from noon to 12:45. Plans are being made for bus trips, and input would be appreciated. A board meeting is scheduled for 10 a.m. Jan. 23 at the church.

Golden Pillars will meet for a liturgy at 11 a.m. Tuesday prior to the monthly meeting at noon at St. Mary’s Assumption Social Center, 356 S. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown. Mary Novak will preside, birthdays and anniversaries will be observed, and cards and bingo will be played. Members are asked to take their own table service for lunch.

J.C. Penney Retirees will meet for lunch at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Denny’s in Boardman.

Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club will meet from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. Bridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played, and Ruby Farkas will give the devotions. Members are reminded to take a sack lunch; coffee and tea will be provided. Sears Friendship Club will meet at noon Monday at What’s Cooking on South Avenue in Boardman.

St. Brendan 60-Plus Club will meet at 1:15 p.m. Monday in Maxwell Hall. Ann Smith will preside, and reports will be given by Dorothy Procick and Dorothy LoSasso. St. Charles Over-55 Club has canceled its Tuesday meeting due to the weather. The next meeting is planned for Feb. 14.

St. Rose Seniors will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday at Amen Corner for coffee and pizza. Dues will be collected at this meeting.
