Family honors Huleas on 60th anniversary

Johnny’s Restaurant in Boardman was the setting for a family dinner Oct. 28 for Nick and Pauline Hulea of Poland, who were being honored on the occasion of their 60th wedding anniversary.

The couple’s children hosted the event. They are Nick Hulea Jr. of Canfield, Paul Hulea of Poland and Diane Rienhart of Wyalusing, Pa. Eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren complete the family.

Mrs. Hulea retired in 2000 as a secretary at Union and McKinley elementary schools in Poland School District.

Mr. Hulea retired in 1991 after 40 years in the engineering department at the Edward J. DeBartolo Corp. He is a veteran of World War II.

The couple married on Oct. 28, 1951, at Holy Trinity Orthodox Church in Youngstown, where they are members.
