Springfield bests Lisbon to remain unbeaten in Tier One of ITCL

Ron Rogers scored 26 points and Nick Russell added 11 more for the Springfield High boys basketball team, which stayed unbeaten in Tier One of the Inter Tri-County League with a 65-49 win over Lisbon on Friday night.
They evenly shared 16 rebounds.
After scoring 21 points in the first eight minutes, Springfield (7-1, 5-0) assumed a 36-19 lead by the break.
Zac Barnes scored 13 points and CJ Dawson had 11 for Lisbon (3-5, 2-3).
East Palestine 66, Mineral Ridge 40
EAST PALESTINE
Tyler Foster scored 11 of his 17 points in the first quarter and Jake DiCello had eight of his 22 over that stretch to help the Bulldogs (4-3, 4-1 ITCL Tier One) take a 30-6 lead after eight minutes.
DiCello finished with seven assists, six rebounds and six steals, Travis Cope added 13 points and Zak Brockman grabbed 11 rebounds.
For Mineral Ridge (3-6, 1-4), Nathan Palmer scored 12.
Columbiana 30, United 29
COLUMBIANA
Jake DeJong scored nine points and Bryce Franken added eight for the Clippers (1-8, 1-4 ITCL Tier One), who converted 14 of 17 at the line and only seven goals.
The game’s only double-figure scorer was Caleb Cosner, who had 10 for United (0-9, 0-5).
Southern 43, Lowellville 28
HANOVERTON
Luke Griffith scored 14 points and J.J. Napierkowski had 13 for the Indians (6-3, 3-2 ITCL Tier Two).
Donatelli’s 11 paced Lowellville (5-4, 3-2), which trailed at halftime, 23-13.
