ABWA meeting set for Tuesday
The Mill Creek Chapter of American Business Women’s Association will hold its meeting on Tuesday at 6 p.m. in Struthers at the Elm Tree Hall. Networking will start at 6 p.m. and dinner will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m.
The buffet dinner will include baked chicken, stuffed cabbage, macaroni, salad, Haluski and dessert for $16.50. Guest speaker will be Kristen Gallagher representing Hands On Volunteer Network.
The deadline for reservations is Tuesday and can be made by calling Darlene Demjen at 330-755-9089 or Joan Lucansky at 330-755-8212.
Library hosts Pajama Jam
The Poland library will host “Pajama Jam: Sleepy-Time Fun for the Family” on Jan. 23 from 6:30 to 7 p.m. The whole family is invited to put on pajamas and come for stories and more fun.
Trim a Tree at library
The Poland library invites children of all ages to decorate an ornament for the all-seasons tree during library through the month of January.
Create a sky craft at the library
During library hours through January, the Poland library invites school-age children to create art on a string. The art will swing from the sky above the librarian’s desk.
Library hosts Tales and Talk for 2s and 3s
The Poland library will host “Baby Brilliant: Tales and Talk for 2s and 3s on Thursday and Jan. 19 and 26 at 10:30 a.m. The program will include developmentally-appropriate books, songs, rhymes, finger plays and other activities that will help children, ages 2-3, become successful readers. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Fun times at the library
The Poland library will host “Fun Time for 4s and 5s” on Thursday and Jan.19 and 26 at 1 p.m.

Lego My Library
The Poland library invites children 6 and older to create Lego designs on Jan. 31 from 6 to 7 p.m. Legos will be provided.
Bonding with Babies and Books
The Poland library will host “Baby Brilliant: Bonding with Babies and Books” for babies 6-23 months on Wednesday and Jan. 18 and 25 at 10 a.m.
The program will include developmentally-appropriate books, songs, rhymes, finger plays and other activities that will help your child become a successful reader.
