Pa. state police supervisor charged with DUI

YORK, Pa. (AP) — A Pennsylvania State Police lieutenant who supervised the department’s station in York County for five years is facing a drunken-driving charge in a neighboring county.

The York Dispatch reported that Barry E. Staub retired today, the same day troopers in Adams County filed charges stemming from a Dec. 10 traffic stop near Hanover.

Court documents indicate a woman behind Staub’s vehicle called 911 to report an erratic driver, leading police to pull him over.

Police say Staub’s blood-alcohol level was .28 percent. That’s more than three times the state’s legal limit for driving.
