Boardman Park offered Christmas fun on Dec. 8 with its annual Supper with Santa.

Lariccia Family Community Center was filled to capacity with kids spreading Christmas cheer by enjoying fun games, crafts and photos with Santa Claus.

In the activity room, guests were invited to play with fake snow and dress up in a few of Santa’s extra robes and hats.

To add to some of the holiday decorations at home, kids made pine tree and Santa ornaments and created a Christmas scene with stickers. Kids could have their face painted and write a letter to Santa.

The Santa Supper was mostly a time for guests to share what they love about the holiday season.

“We love being with family and sharing that time together,” said Lindy Wilcox, who brought her daughter, Jalin, to the dinner.

Although they are young. Brooke Pluchinsky and Madison Dinger already have traditions they look forward to.

“I like making cookies with my grandma every year,” Pluchinsky said.

“I love to eat candy canes and play in the snow,” Dinger added.

Guests had a chance to visit and chat with Santa about the upcoming holiday and park officials provided a photo souvenir.

Afterward, families went to the dining room to enjoy a meal together.

Grandma Pam Gargasz had her grandson, Braden Tovita, as her special guest.

“This is my first year at the event, but I think we’ll be coming annually. It’ll be a tradition and a day just for me and Braden,” Gargasz said.
