YOUNGSTOWN

The Mahoning County Coroner’s Office has released the name of the man who died on the Rayen Avenue Bridge Wednesday, but police are still investigating how the death occurred.

Johnny Serrano, 30, of Austintown, was pronounced dead at the scene of the 4:05 p.m. accident on the Rayen Avenue bridge near Oak Street. The coroner determined that he died from blunt force injuries to the head.

Youngstown police say Serrano was a passenger in a motor vehicle on the bridge that was involved in an accident, but they are not sure how he ended up outside of the car. Police have taken possession of the car and are going over the vehicle.
