Arms museum exhibit enters final weekend
YOUNGSTOWN
The Arms Family Museum’s “Memories of Christmas Past” exhibit is entering its final weekend with a special promotion.
On Saturday and Sunday, guests will receive half-price admission with the donation of new cleaning supplies or paper products, which will be given to the Beatitude House.
“Memories of Christmas Past” is open daily from 1 to 5 p.m. Admission is $6 ($5 for senior citizens and $4 for children). The museum is at 648 Wick Ave. For more information, call 330-743-2589, or go to mahoninghistory.org.
Performance nights slated at bookstore

Method 8 Productions will sponsor a performance night from 7 to 9 p.m. every Tuesday, beginning Tuesday, at Barnes & Noble booksellers in the Shops at Boardman Park, U.S. Route 224.
Actors, singers and poets affiliated with Method 8 will perform. Others who wish to perform can sign up by calling Method 8 director Brian West at 330-259-1279 or by emailing method8corp@sbcglobal.net.
Show will include 11 area rock bands

Boardman High School PTSA will present PTSA-PaIooza from 6 to 11 p.m. Jan. 14 in the Boardman Performing Arts Center, 7777 Glenwood Ave. Eleven local high-school rock bands will play, with the fan-favorite receiving a cash prize.
Tickets will be $7 at the door.
The participating bands are: Big Ginge & the Nobodies (Boardman), Engage (Medina), The Face Cards (Boardman), Funky Monks (Boardman), A Greater Distance (Austintown Fitch/Canfield/Struthers), Hold No Grudge (Lowellville), In Legions (Boardman), The Knickers (Ravenna), Northern Whale (Austintown Fitch), Take It or Leave (Boardman) and To the Winchester (Niles).
