Foodtaste Footrace ready to roll

SHARON, PA.

The 24th annual Frostbite Foodtaste Footrace will begin at 7 p.m. Jan. 12 at 10 downtown restaurants.

The event features a “Taste of Sharon” as each participating location will offer a free food taste and drink specials. The $12 entry fee benefits the Prince of Peace Center’s Help Heat Homes Program.

Stops this year include: The A.C.T, The Russian Club, Billy’s Black & Gold, Our Gang’s Lounge, Side Pocket Caf , The Marigold, The Other Side, Quaker Steak & Lube, Tailgate Party with Basilone’s at the Sugar Shack and Tully’s.

The first 600 people to sign up get a free souvenir hat and T-shirt. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place in “The Race” for male and female categories.

To register, go to any participating location before Wednesday. There also will be a registration party at Quaker Steak & Lube from 4 to 6 p.m. the day of the event.
