Bail set at $25K for Ohio woman who posed as boy
HAMILTON, Ohio (AP) — Bail has been set at $25,000 for a woman who prosecutors said pretended to be a boy to pursue a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old Ohio girl and now is charged with failing to report her address change.
A judge in Hamilton today set bail and entered a not-guilty plea for 32-year-old Patricia Dye, who remains in jail and will be appointed a lawyer.
Dye was convicted in 2010 of contributing to the unruliness or delinquency of a child, sexual imposition and attempted sexual imposition. She served six months in jail and had to register as a sex offender.
Authorities say Dye registered in Ohio last December but moved without providing her new address. She was returned to Ohio last month after her arrest in Orick, Calif.
