PITTSBURGH (AP) — Penn State University President Rodney Erickson will meet with alumni to discuss the sex scandal involving former assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky in town hall-style meetings in Pittsburgh, near Philadelphia and New York next week.
The first session is set for Wednesday night at the Doubletree by Hilton hotel in downtown Pittsburgh on Jan. 11. Erickson will do the same thing at hotels in King of Prussia on Jan. 12 and in Manhattan on Jan. 13.
People wishing to attend must register online due to seating constraints. The sessions are being sponsored by the Penn State Alumni Association.
Erickson has replaced Graham Spanier, who was forced out by school trustees in the wake of the scandal, and is attempting to repair the schools image with alumni, faculty, staff, and students.
