FOOD SALES AND DINNERS
THURSDAY
Col. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals will include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $6.50 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.
Poland United Methodist Church, 1940 Boardman-Poland Road, will have takeout dinners available from 3:30 p.m. until sold out. The cost is $6. No need to preorder or get out of the car. Just drive to the front of the church and your meal of baked stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes and green beans will be ready.
Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield, will have a drive-through chicken dinner from 4 p.m. until sold out. The cost is $7 and includes stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and a brownie.
FRIDAY
St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. Cost is $5 a dozen. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at 330-755-1316, and orders can be picked up beginning at noon. Frozen pirogi will be sold while supplies last. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available.
St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $4.50 a dozen. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.
Tod Avenue United Methodist Church, 155 Tod Ave. NW, Warren, will sell all-you-can-eat fish dinners from 3:30-6:30 p.m. The meal includes ocean perch, potatoes, coleslaw, dessert and a beverage. The cost is $9 for adults and $3 for children. Meatloaf is also available. Carryouts are available starting at 3:30 p.m.
VFW Post 9571, 11397 Ellsworth Road, Ellsworth, will have an all-you-can-eat fish fry from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Also available will be four-piece chicken, chicken fingers or shrimp with french fries or macaroni and cheese. The cost is $7.50 for adults and $7 for seniors.
SATURDAY
Vienna United Methodist Church, 4265 Warren-Sharon Road, will sell Swiss steak dinners from 4 to 6:30 p.m. The cost is $8.50 for adults, $4 for children 5 to 12 and free for those 4 and under. The menu also includes mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, coleslaw, applesauce, bread and butter, dessert and a beverage. Takeouts are available.
SUNDAY
Historic Church of St. John, 1429 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown, will be the site of The King’s Buffet, served at noon on Epiphany Sunday. The meal consists of all-you-can-eat pasta and meatballs, tossed salad, Italian bread, dessert and beverage. For reservations and carryouts call 330-799-1751. The donation is $5.95 for adults and $3.25 for children. Proceeds will support the Neighborhood Ministry.
TUESDAY
Mahoning United Methodist Church, 2214 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown, will sell stuffed cabbage rolls from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. or until sold out every Tuesday for $1.50 each. To order call 330-799-5318 between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. through Friday. Walk-ins are welcome, but advance orders are appreciated.
UPCOMING
Pricetown United Methodist Church, 4640 Pritchard-Ohltown Road, Newton Falls, will serve a home-cooked dinner from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Jan. 11. The cost is $7 for adults, $3 for children 6 to 12 and free for those 5 and under. The meal includes sweet sausage and chicken cacciatore, linguini with provolone garnish, salad, roll, dessert and a beverage. Carryouts will be available.
