SENIOR CITIZENS


55 Plus Club of Mineral Ridge will meet at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Church. Bob and Willene Pickens will host the event, and members will dine out after the meeting and card games.

Ajax Magnethermic Retirees will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Bob Evans Restaurant, 3818 Belmont Ave., Youngstown. Guests are welcome.

Lowellville Senior Citizens will meet at 1 p.m. Friday in the conference room at Lowellville City Hall with Mary Potesta presiding. Birthdays and anniversaries for the months of December and January will be acknowledged. A creamed chicken and biscuit lunch will be served, and bingo and a 50-50 raffle will follow the meeting. Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club will meet from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. Bridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played, and Douglas Martin will give the devotions. Members are reminded to take a sack lunch; coffee and tea will be provided. St. Nicholas Seniors will have a luncheon meeting at 11 a.m. Jan. 10 at Great Hall with Laverne Cox presiding. Reservations are required and can be made until Wednesday by sending an $8 check, payable to St. Nicholas Seniors, to Lora Opsitnik, 138 Iroquois St., Struthers, OH 44471. All seniors are welcome. Dues are being collected this month.

Youngstown State University Freetimers will meet for breakfast at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Denny’s Restaurant in Boardman. All YSU retirees and friends are welcome.
