HUBBARD

Joelle Marie Wells of Ashland, Ohio, became the bride of William Edward Lucarell of Northfield, Ohio, during an afternoon ceremony May 7 at St. Patrick Church.

Concelebrants were the Revs. Timothy O’Neill and Edward Noga and Deacon Robert Friedman.

Before leaving on a honeymoon to St. Lucia, the couple were honored at a reception at Leo’s Ristorante in Howland.

The bride is the daughter of Raymond and Barbara Wells of Hubbard, and parents of the groom are William R. and Jacquelyn Lucarell of Girard.

The bride’s strapless A-line gown was fashioned of ivory satin and organza. It featured crisscross draping, a dropped waistline and a neckline richly beaded with Swarovski crystals. Brooches and embroidery accented pickup points on the skirt, which flowed into a chapel-length train.

Dressed in taupe gowns, Melissa Backes and Lisamarie Stefura attended the bride as maids of honor. Also in taupe-colored dresses were bridesmaids Ashley Hunzeker, Amber McCauslin, Erin Schuler, Amie Deluca, Abby Jastrab and Jen Backes. Simone Thiel was the flower girl.

Sharing the duties of best man were Bill Joyce and John O’Donnell. Groomsmen were Jim Campbell, Jon Hepfner, Chuck Mooney, Justin Portik, and the groom’s cousins, Ron Simko and Rick Simko. The ring bearer was Bryce Joyce.

Mrs. Lucarell earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Westminster College and is pursuing a master’s degree, also in chemistry, from Youngstown State University. She is a bioanalytical chemist at WIL Research Labs in Ashland.

Mr. Lucarell is a graduate of YSU with a bachelor’s degree in computer science and a master’s degree in business administration. He is a software engineer with Equity Engineering Group in Shaker Heights, Ohio.

The couple are making their home in Northfield.
