Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will serve a baked chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the church. The meal also includes salad, mashed potatoes and gravy, bread and butter, pie and a beverage. Cost is $6.50, and containers will be available for takeout orders. No reservations are necessary. THURSDAY

Poland United Methodist Church, 1940 Boardman-Poland Road, will have takeout dinners available from 3:30 p.m. until sold out. The cost is $6. No need to preorder or get out of the car. Just drive to the front of the church, and your meal of baked stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes and green beans will be ready.

Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield, will have a drive-through chicken dinner from 4 p.m. until sold out. The cost is $7 and includes stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and a brownie.

FRIDAY

Beaver Creek Sportsman Club, 14480 Washingtonville Road, Washingtonville, will have fish and shrimp dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. every Friday through April 6. Dinners include french fries, coleslaw and a beverage. The cost is $9 for a fish dinner or $8 for a shrimp dinner. Carryouts are available.

Canfield Lions will sponsor a fish dinner Fridays during Lent. The meal will be served from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at A La Cart, 429 Lisbon St., Canfield. Christ Our Savior Parish will sponsor a pirogi dinner from 3 to 7 p.m. at St. Nicholas Church Parish Center, 764 Fifth St., Struthers. The cost is $7 for adults, $4 for children and free for those under 5. The menu consists of Holy Trinity pirogi, macaroni and cheese or pasta fagioli, coleslaw or salad, dessert and pop, coffee or tea. The proceeds benefit Christ Our Savior, St. Nicholas and Holy Trinity capital campaign. No phone-in orders will be accepted.

First Presbyterian Church, 3654 Main St., Mineral Ridge, will serve fish dinners from 5 to 7 p.m. on Fridays during Lent through March 30. Dinners cost $8 for adults and $4 for children. Carryouts are available.

Girard Knights of Columbus Council 2935 will serve fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. on Fridays during Lent (except March 16 and April 7). The menu consists of baked or fried fish, coleslaw, french fries, bread, cake and coffee; pop and water are available for 50 cents. The children’s menu includes spaghetti with sauce or macaroni and cheese. Prices are $7.50 for adults and $4.50 for children 4 to 12. Those 3 and under eat free. Carryout is available.

Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders may be picked up from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $5 a dozen. Orders should be placed from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday or 9:30 to 11 Friday at 330-746-9528, and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon will serve fish dinners every Friday during Lent, except Good Friday. The cost will be $10 for adults and $6 for children. St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. The cost is $5.50 a dozen. VFW Post 9571, 11397 Ellsworth Road, Ellsworth, will have an all-you-can-eat fish fry from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Also available will be four-piece chicken, chicken fingers or shrimp with french fries or macaroni and cheese. The cost is $7.50 for adults and $7 for seniors.

SATURDAY

Austintown Little Falcons will serve spaghetti dinners from 2 to 6 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, corner of Mahoning Avenue and South Turner Road, Austintown. There will be a basket auction, and takeouts will be available. Meals are $7 for adults and $5 for children 6 to 12. Those 5 and under eat free. Proceeds benefit Little Falcon Little League football teams and cheerleader programs.

New Hope United Methodist Church, 21 Fairview Ave., Niles, will have a soup and salad bar fundraiser for Relay for Life from 4 to 6:30 p.m. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children 5 to 11. Those 4 and under are free.

Protestant Family Services will serve a pancake and sausage breakfast from 9 a.m. to noon at Disciples Christian Church, 565 Boardman-Canfield Road, Boardman. The donation is $6 for adults and $3 for children 5 to 12. Proceeds will benefit individuals who face emergency crises.

Kids 4 and under eat free. Meals consist of pancakes and sausage or biscuits and gravy. Pancakes are all you can eat.

St. Mary Church, 3504 state Route 46, Mineral Ridge, will serve a pancake, sausage, French toast and egg breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Meals are $6 for adults and $4 for children 5 to 11. Kids under 4 eat free.

Sulmona Valley Club, 92 S. Bridge St., downtown Struthers, will serve a homemade cavatelli dinner from noon to 4 p.m. Dinner will include cavatelli, meatballs, salad and dessert. The cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children. Carryouts are available.

Happy Hearts Jr. Croatian Tamburitzans are taking orders for apple and cheese strudel through March 23. All strudels are homemade and are sold frozen ready to bake along with baking instructions. Rotary Club of Warren will host its annual pancake breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 25 at Lincoln K-8 School, 2253 Atlantic St. NE, Warren. Tickets cost $6 and include all-you-can-eat pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs, fruit and a beverage. Children 5 and under are free. There also will be a bake sale and a 50-50 raffle. Tickets can be purchased in advance from any club member or at the door. All proceeds will benefit local charities.
