Work under way on Columbiana County bridge deck

WEST POINT — Work continues today on the County Road 448 bridge-deck replacement project over state Route 11 at West Point in Madison Township.

Beginning Thursday, Route 11 will be reduced to one, 12-foot lane in each direction under the Columbiana County bridge for 90 days, said an official with the Ohio Department of Transportation. On March 12, Route 448 will be closed to traffic. A local detour will be posted.

ODOT’s contractor for the $899,873 project is Marucci & Gaffney Excavating Co. from Youngstown. The completion date is Aug. 31.
