Pool for Paws tourney will benefit animals

SHARON, PA.

Blackie’s Billiards, 118 Vine Ave., will be the site of a Pool for Paws 8-ball tournament Saturday.

Sign-up will begin at 1 p.m., and the tournament begins at 1:30. The play is on eight bar box tables. The entry fee is $15 per person, which includes $5 to animal advocacy of Mercer and Crawford counties and $10 into the prize money.

Play is double elimination and by Valley League rules, race to two both sides, and there’s a 64-player cutoff.

Animal Advocacy will have animals there from 1 to 4 p.m. for adoption purposes. Also featured will be a basket auction and a 50-50 drawing.
