WARREN

Police are investigating the Sunday break-in of the office building housing the offices of U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan of Niles, D-17th, at 197 W. Market St. on Courthouse Square.

A spokesman for the congressman referred all questions to the U.S. Capitol Police in Washington, D.C. A call to the Capitol police was not returned late Monday.

An employee of the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber, which is also located in the building, called police at 9:34 a.m. Sunday to report the break-in, which she said occurred between 4 a.m. and 7:30 a.m.

Someone broke out the glass roof on the building and ransacked offices on the first, second and third floors, Warren police said.

The congressman has offices on the first floor. The chamber has offices on the second floor.
