2 men get long prison terms for Belleria Pizza robbery in 2009

YOUNGSTOWN — Two city men got long prison terms today for robbing Belleria Pizza on Wick Avenue more than two years ago.

Judge Lou D'Apolitio of Mahoning County Common Pleas Court imposed a 30-year prison term on Stanley Croom, 46, of Plazaview Court, and a 16-year-prison term on Jeff Shorter, 43, of Orange Ave., in the Dec. 27, 2009, armed robbery of the North Side business.

A jury convicted both men of aggravated robery with a gun specification earlier this month after a weeklong trial.
