Berlin Center woman found shot in head

YOUNGSTOWN

Police are investigating the murder of a 33-year-old Berlin Center woman on the city’s South Side.

Police found Erica Elford dead of a gunshot wound to the head just before 11 p.m. Sunday at a home in the 1900 block of Bancroft Avenue. Police arrested 33-year-old Gregory Carlini at the scene of the shooting.

Police have said Carlini is believed to be Elford’s boyfriend. He is the resident of the Bancroft Avenue home.
