Ashley Morrissette scored 23 points and made eight of Twinsburg’s 35 steals in the sectional final at Akron Ellet High School. Malina Howard contributed 18 points and 10 rebounds while Nichole Mabry had 13 points and five steals for Twinsburg (19-3). For the Panthers (7-13), Mylesia Cotton led with eight points.

Walsh Jesuit 53,

Austintown Fitch 38

AKRON

Courtney Icaobacci scored 19 points and Lilli Piper as Walsh Jesuit advanced to the district semifinals at Akron Ellet. For the Falcons (11-10), Megan Sefcik scored 17 points and Anissa Hill 13.

Badger 65, Bristol 38

ROOTSTOWN

Sarah Bonar led the Braves (11-12) to a district semifinal by scoring 25 points. Harlee Logan scored 14 points and Holly Masters 10. For the Panthers (10-13), Allyson Jones scored 23 points.

Lauren Lee scored 12 points and Chanel Thornton 11 for Warren JFK (13-9). For the Red Devils (14-7), Sarah Cash led with 23 points.

Bristol 70,

Newbury 68

BRISTOLVILLE

Brandon Lee scored 11 of his 18 points in the fourth quarter, including a game-tying 3-pointer with 90 seconds left, to help Bristol complete an improbable comeback. Austin Rimer scored nine of his 18 points in the fourth as the Panthers outscored Newbury 31-7 in the fourth quarter. Chad Oliver scored 22 points, including 10 in the third quarter, for Bristol (12-8), which trailed 50-22 at halftime. Zeth Tomasiak hit two free throws with nine seconds left to give Bristol a four-point lead and seal the victory. Mark Hamilton scored 15 to lead Newbury.
