Struthers grads take part in summit

Columbus

Two graduates of Struthers High School represented Miami University at a youth summit last weekend in Columbus. Keary Iarussi and Paul Garchar attended the summit for the “Obama for America” campaign, which included all college Democrats across Ohio’s colleges and universities. The students attended different seminars on ways to engage the Miami University campus in the coming election. Some of the major topics at the conference were registering new voters, stressing the importance of voting and how to talk about President Obama’s accomplishments so far. The Ohio Chapter of “Obama for America” is having a competition to see which campus can register the most voters. The two Struthers graduates will be helping Miami try to win the competition.
