Pedestrians injured

WARREN

Two pedestrians were taken to ValleyCare Trumbull Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries they received when they were hit by a car as they tried to cross East Market Street near Vine Street Northeast at 11:42 a.m. Friday.

Police say Alvin R. Horne, 66, of Lyntz Road in Lordstown, was attempting to turn west from Vine onto East Market Street and checked for westbound cars but did not see the two pedestrians crossing Market Street.

The two pedestrians failed to yield to Horne’s vehicle, which caused the accident, police said. No citations were issued for any of the three.

The pedestrians were Bertsel J. Ramsey, 53, and Larissa A. Patino, 40, both of 200 Washington St. NE. By 6 p.m., Ramsey had been admitted to a room, but the hospital had no record of Patino.
